Daily at the workplace different kind of hazards exist. Few are introduced due to unsafe act, unsafe condition, introduction of the new equipment as well as sudden change in the working method.
Other hazards are inherent and pose a great threat to the workers working there, can damage the environment, as well as lead to financial loss of the company.
It is a good practice to identify these hazards before the start of the job and mitigate the risk level to the minimum and sustainable level. Appropriate control measures are identified, and implemented to control these hazards. For Hazard Identification different methods are used. An easy and cost-effective method is to use a pre-planned Inspection Checklist.
A competent person can use this checklist and check all the aspects one by one. If something is wrong, appropriate controls can be implemented to correct it.
