Intro

Drum Roller are used to flatten down the ground, compacting soil, gravel, asphalt, crushed stones, as well as paving the asphalt down in road construction. The roller drum can be static or vibratory with weight of either 1 ton or 20 tons.

Precautions
A summary of parameters that are to be checked using this checklist, is given below;
- The engine oil level, hydraulic oil level, water level in the water reservoir is as per requirements;
- The fan belt and fan blades are in good condition;
- The cabin of the equipment is protected with the Roll Over Protection System (ROPS);
- The seat belt and seat are in good condition, seat belt is functional;
- The cabin is neat and clean, wiring is covered and well insulated, controls are functional;
- First aid box and fire extinguishers are available in good condition;
- Hydraulic pipes, and electrical wiring joints are as per standard, attached properly;
- Hydraulic Cylinders are in good condition;
- The drum, drum vibrator, and rear wheels are in good condition;
- Warning light, reverse beacon, safety cones/triangle are available
