An Excavator is used as a mechanical aid in excavating soil, digging holes, and removing soil. The checklist can be used to inspect the equipment against pre-determined parameters. A summary of parameters is given below that are to be checked;
- The body and cabin of the equipment should be free of rust, cracks, damage, interior should be neat and clean
- Hydraulic pipes and electrical wiring should be in good condition
- All the wires should be insulated
- Hydraulic Oil, Engine Oil, Water Level should be as per requirements in their respective storage boxes
- The tracks should be in good condition
- Interior and Exterior lighting should be working properly
- Engine compartment should be fully enclosed and locked
- Cabin should be reinforced with ROPS & FOPS
- Warning Lighting, Reverse Beacon should be functional and working
- Emergency Equipment, First Aid Box, and Safety Cones should be available
