Work at height is the part of the routine work at the height where the worker is required to climb the elevated area and perform the activity. The activity is high risk because the worker has to work at an abnormal location which requires controls to prevent the fall in any case.

The worker should be competent and experienced enough to perform the job activity. His training and past experience should be recorded and training certificates should be available. The work platform should be of approved standard and design. The manufacturing material should be competent to sustain the load of objects, material, and the worker.

If the worker is wearing the harness, he should be provided with the harness and lifeline so that the fall can be prevented. The checklist can be used to inspect the work activity and area in order to ensure a high standard of safety.
