On worksite, workers face different kind of conditions, and working in high winds is one of them. Specially people working at height, using elevated work platforms for work activity, or use of lifting equipment e.g., crane either mobile or fixed, can pose serious threat to the workers in vicinity, equipment, and public in the surrounding areas.
The form attached along can be used to record the wind velocity using the "Anemometer", and if wind crosses the maximum limit, the work should be stopped. For guidance, local and internal regulations can be consulted.
Anemometer is a device that consists of a rotating wheel, and if the winds blows it moves. The faster the wind blow, the faster the wheel rotates. The number of wheel rotations due to wind are calculated.
